NEW YORK— Paddy Fitzpatrick, chairman of the Fitzpatrick Hotel Group, Mastertone Ltd., Timesharing Ireland Ltd. and Castle Transport and Marketing Services passed away Aug. 16, 2002 after a brief illness. He and his late wife Eithne opened their first hotel in Dublin, Ireland in 1971 and expanded the family business with the acquisition of five more properties in both Ireland and the United Sates. A man very closely associated with tourism and the Irish hotel industry, Fitzpatrick began his hotel career at the age of 18 at the Gresham Hotel in Dublin. In 2001 Fitzpatrick was inducted into the Hall of Fame of Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International.
