SANTIAGO, CHILE— The 205-room Ritz-Carlton Santiago is readying for a winter 2003 opening here on Apoquindo Avenue in the area known as Las Condes, adjacent to the “Mayor’s House.” The 15-story boutique hotel is earmarked as the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co.’s inaugural property in South America and, as such, will offer a variety of top-level guest services and amenities, including: several floors of club-level rooms, along with a club lounge and multi-lingual concierge; a wine bar; a Mediterranean restaurant; a rooftop, glass-enclosed fitness center and spa; and a 3,500-square-foot ballroom as well as two other large meeting rooms and five additional rooms suitable for smaller groups.
