BRUSSELS The Radisson Montfleury Hotel in Cannes is the first Radisson SAS Hotel to successfully convert to the Euro as its operating currency. The change took place on December 12th and 13th, 2000. The conversion included both the reservation delivery chain from the GDS systems via Curtis-C, and the Radisson Reservation System into Harmony, as well as other frontline systems such as point-of-sale, electronic minibar, etc. Throughout the next twelve months, Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts expects to convert another 40 of its properties to run with Euro as their operating currency. Two teams of highly trained IT personnel and experienced staff will spend a week at each hotel to carry out the conversion. (1/2/01)
