NEW YORK— The General Services Administration (GSA) has formed agreements with hotels across the country to guarantee federal government workers who are traveling hotel rooms at pre-negotiated government rates this summer. This move significantly expands the GSA’s 20-month test of the Premier Lodging Program, in which eight Boston hotels provide more than 32,000 room nights for federal travelers at below-market rates. Other cities expected to enter the program include New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago and Denver. However, the GSA anticipates that by the end of the year 75 top federal destinations will have announced Premier Lodging Programs. SOURCE: Federal Times
