COLUMBIA, MD— MICROS Systems announced it has installed its 9700 Hospitality Management System (HMS) at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica, CA and the Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui, HI. Owned and operated by Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, both properties have replaced their legacy point-of-sale systems with comprehensive MICROS hardware and software solutions. The 9700 HMS is a cost-effective point-of-sale system built on an open systems architectural platform, according to MICROS. It is specifically designed to handle a high-volume, multiple-revenue center environment and can produce customized reports in real time, the company said. Additionally, the 9700 HMS allows multiple users to operate other software programs while the system is in use. The system can also automate specific utilities, triggering reports and other functions at the same time each day, unattended, MICROS noted.
