DUBAI, UAE— Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has officially opened the 394-room luxury business hotel, The Fairmont Dubai, on Sheikh Zayed Road directly opposite the World Trade Center here. The 34-story property comprises extensive business and leisure facilities, including: 128 suites; 12 dining and entertainment venues; a 40,000-square-foot spa and health club; and two terrace sundecks, each with a mosaic-lined pool. For long-stay visitors, the hotel complex also offers 115 two- and three-bedroom unfurnished apartments for lease, plus three floors of offices. Also for business guests, the hotel has a dedicated second-floor business center— The Exchange— with six private workstations/interview rooms and three feature rooms equipped with “smart walls,” electronic whiteboards, VCR capabilities and complete audio systems. In addition, there is a 224-seat on-site auditorium that features high-speed Internet access, 18 executive break-out rooms, and a ballroom capable of accommodating up to 900 people (reception-style).
