TORONTO—Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has opened the Fairmont Baku, Flame Towers, in Azerbaijan.
Fairmont Baku is located within one of the three Flame Towers, a new development that is now the tallest building complex in the country. HOK International is behind the 36-floor property, which will feature 318 guestrooms, suites and apartments. HBA International designed the interiors, which feature a neutral palette accented by color that progresses up the tower and culminates in the Royal Suite, offering deep burgundy tones and finishes.
A custom glass chandelier in the lobby, which spans 20 feet, is formed in the shape of water droplets. A contemporary art collection commissioned and collated by Farmboy Fine Arts is also featured in the hotel.
The property’s suites range from 1,076-sq. ft. one bedroom to the 1,291-sq.-ft. Caspian Sea suite, and from the 1,506-sq.-ft. Grand One Bedroom to the 4,036-sq.-ft. Royal Two Bedroom Suite.
The hotel will feature several restaurants, bars and lounges, such as an authentic French patisserie and a specialty steak house.
Additionally, the property offers a health club, ESPA spa facility that will open in late summer, and indoor and outdoor pools. The property will also offer more than 2,500 sq. ft. of multi-use function space, including two ballrooms.
This is Fairmont’s first development in Azerbaijan.
