Fairmont Adds Hawaiian Resort To Portfolio

TORONTO Canadian Pacific Hotels, the parent company of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, acquired control of the renowned Kea Lani Resort in Wailea, Maui from Kea Lani Limited Partnership. The company plans to reflag the property as the Fairmont Kea Lani Maui during the second quarter of 2001.

The Kea Lani Resort will be Fairmonts first resort in the Pacific. Known as the islands only all-suite luxury oceanfront resort, the hotel is situated on Polo Beach in master-planned destination of Wailea. With 413 one-bedroom suites and 37 private beachfront villas, the 22-acre hotel offers a full-service spa and fitness center, 30,000 square feet of function space, three swimming pools, a 140-foot water slide, and four restaurants.
