BETHESDA, MD—Marriott International, Inc. has introduced the Fairfield by Marriott Surabaya, the first Fairfield property in Indonesia. The new hotel is a milestone of Marriott’s expansion into the midscale hotel segment in Indonesia, according to the brand.
“The mid-tier segment is very important for Marriott’s development in the market of Indonesia as we are seeing significant demand,” said Robert Stark, area VP for Indonesia & The Philippines, Marriott International. “The opening of this property in Surabaya is a great starting point for us, and we will continue to strengthen our offerings for this particular sector in this dynamic market.”
Fairfield by Marriott is located in a new development area in West Surabaya, Indonesia. In proximity to one of the city’s key business areas, the hotel offers 270 guestrooms and suites with modern design and workspaces. The all-day dining restaurant, Kava, serves Indonesian and Western cuisine in buffet and a-la-carte options. The hotel also provides a corner market for guests to have convenient access to drinks and snacks.
In addition, the property provides space for meetings and events, with function room space that comes with natural daylight. There is also an onsite spa, fitness center and an outdoor rooftop pool with a city view.
