BREMERTON, WA— The Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel & Conference Center here has completed the second phase of a multi-year renovation program. Recently completed work included the renovation of the Starlight Dome, a 4,800-square-foot meeting and banquet facility. The hotel also has a new restaurant, Remington’s Grill, and a new multi-screen sports bar, Fanatics Lounge. In addition, high-speed Internet access has been installed in all 150 guestrooms, meeting rooms, common areas and dining facilities. Guestrooms have been upgraded with refrigerators and most rooms now have a microwave/refrigerator combination. Additionally, rooms have been furnished with new nightstands, headboards, chairs, decorative floor lamps, love seats and coffee tables. The next phase of the renovation project will begin in 2003 and include work on public and common areas, parking and corridors. Northwest Lodging International operates the hotel, which is 15 miles across Puget Sound from downtown Seattle via ferry.
