NEW ORLEANS—Hotel owner/management company Expotel Hospitality Services Inc., based here, has appointed Kevin Robert as EVP, operations.
In this role, he will be responsible for the asset management of Expotel’s clients and for the hotel properties owned by Expotel. Robert will be the senior company officer responsible for the achievement of the revenue, profit, efficiency, quality and personnel objectives of the management company and the hotels it manages across the country.
Prior to joining Expotel Hospitality, Robert was president of Five Points Hospitality, LLC and one of the founding members/CEO of Pyramid Hospitality & Development, LLC. In those positions, Robert was responsible for all aspects of asset ownership and management for the companies and hotel property portfolios, consisting of nationwide multi-franchised hotel products.
Beginning his hotel career in food and beverage operations, Robert eventually transitioned into the roles of corporate controller, general manager and institutional asset manager. Over his career, he has had direct involvement in the development, acquisition, operations and asset management of multi-franchise resort, convention, full-service, focused-service and extended-stay hotel projects nationwide.
Robert studied business management at Louisiana State University and received his certified hotel administrator designation from the Educational Institute at Michigan State University.
