Red Roof Names Ted Hutchins as CIO
Red Roof has appointed Ted Hutchins as the brand’s CIO. Prior to joining Red Roof, he served as CIO for All Aboard Florida, overseeing their South Florida-based high-speed rail system Brightline from 2014 to 2018. Responsibilities included delivering integrated guest experiences, managing technology build-outs and creating self-healing networks. Previously, Hutchins was VP of technology at Porter Airlines from 2011 to 2014. Hutchins’s career also includes stops at AirTrain Airways, Sabre, and US Airways.
Obeetee Appoints Patricia Ben-Zvi to President of North American Division
Obeetee has named Patricia Ben-Zvi to president of Obeetee Inc., effective immediately. She comes to Obeetee from West Elm. There she held the position of Omni Buyer managing the bedding, flooring, window, pillows, throws, and bath textiles for retail, e-commerce and catalog throughout her tenure. Prior to that, she worked for the Italian fashion brand Max Mara, where she held positions in both buying and visual merchandising to round out her extensive retail experience.
Arper Names Group Brand & Marketing Director
Contract furnishing company Arper has appointed Giovanni Peracin as group brand & marketing director. Previously holding positions at famous fashion brands such as Loewe and Levi’s, Peracin will bring his international expertise in branding, marketing, and communications into the furniture realm.
Carnegie Hires Randi Pastrovic
Textile giant Carnegie has hired Randi Pastrovic as VP of brand strategy. With 15 years of leadership experience in the industry, Pastrovic was previously employed by reputable design brands such as 3form, Hunter Douglas, and Herman Miller.
XV Beacon Hotel Appoints Kara Smith as Sales & Marketing Director
XV Beacon has named Kara Smith as director of sales and marketing. Drawing upon nearly a decade of business travel and catering sales experience earned at properties in and around Boston, Smith now leads all sales and marketing efforts for XV Beacon, including planning and implementing innovative sales, marketing and product development initiatives. In her new role, Smith also serves as the main point of contact for existing group, meetings and incentive clientele; leads outreach to expand the hotel’s current and prospective client base; and promotes the company’s developments.
Rebecca Bossard Gruyer Joins Bürgenstock Selection
Rebecca Bossard Gruyer has been appointed to the new position of director of sales, North America for the Bürgenstock Selection, which encompasses the new Bürgenstock Hotels & Resort Lake Lucerne, the Royal Savoy Hotel & Spa in Lausanne and the Hotel Schweizerhof Bern & The Spa. Reporting to Bettina Haeberle, area director of sales and marketing, she will be based in the New York office of The Leading Hotels of the World.
Montage Deer Valley Makes Marketing Team Appointments
Montage Deer Valley appointed two new members to its sales and marketing team. Catherine Kirchheimer is the resort’s director of sales and marketing, while Jamie Fisher is the director of leisure sales. Both appointees bring extensive experience to Montage Deer Valley to aid in the sales and marketing efforts of the year-round mountain resort.
