PORTLAND, OR— Veteran hoteliers John Erickson, Ray Hopkins and Duane Quintana have taken over the executive management and operations of Grand Tradition Hotels & Resorts, a collection of three- to five-star, independently owned or distinctively branded hotels and resorts receiving national sales and marketing representation under one umbrella. Erickson, Hopkins and Quintana purchased Grand Tradition Hotels & Resorts, which was established in 1988, from John Parker earlier this month. In their new positions, Erickson will serve as CEO, Hopkins as COO, and Quintana as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. The former Westin, Marriott and Four Seasons executives represent more than 75 years of combined hospitality operations, sales, marketing and technology experience. Going forward, Hopkins said the new team plans to grow Grand Tradition Hotels & Resorts to between 150 – 300 hotels within its first 12 – 24 months of operation.
