LAKE GENEVA, FRANCE—Hotel Royal, the Grande Dame of the Evian Resort, will hold a grand reopening July 1 following a major refurbishment that included transforming the entire sixth floor into suites.
The renovation also added a new conference center as well as new meeting rooms. Public areas within Hotel Royal also were remodeled and restored in keeping with the traditional Belle Epoque style of the property.
Designer François Champsaur and historic monuments’ chief architect, François Chatillon, supervised the redesign of Hotel Royal, working with the space and natural light of each area and room, according to the company, producing a modern look while continuing to embody the Belle Époque style with bespoke furniture and an array of distinct fabrics.
“The Hotel Royal entrusted this grand-scale project to celebrated interior designer François Champsaur and architect François Chatillon. Their expertise and vision combined with efforts of many specialist craftsmen has seen the historic Hotel Royal enter a new era, whilst upholding the Royal Hotel’s historical identity,” commented General Manager Laurent Roussin.
