NEW YORK Envoy Worldwide, an exhibitor at the eTravelWorld conference here, told HOTEL BUSINESS. that it plans to market its new wireless notification service to the hotel industry.
The service, which is currently used to notify airline customers when their flights are delayed or cancelled, may soon be added to hotel systems in order to notify potential guests of sudden availability at requested properties. Guests that have inquired about hotel availability during full occupancy periods could be notified when cancellations make rooms suddenly available. The service may also be used to e-mail hotel guests their itinerary and hotel confirmation information.
“We re hoping to have hotel partners by next quarter,” said Tom Svrcek, vp/industry development/Envoy. (4/3/01) Diana M. Rodriguez
