MEMPHIS— Embassy Suites Hotels has upgraded its check-in kiosks to allow guests to print airline boarding passes. Embassy, which is a unit of Hilton Hotels Corp., has embraced the self-service technology, installing the machines in all its 182 hotels. It said it was the first brand to add boarding pass printing capabilities system-wide. Guests can print boarding passes for 18 major airlines. In announcing the upgrade, Jim Holthouser, Embassy senior vp for brand management, noted that Embassy was not in any way cutting back on front desk personnel. “Rather, the idea is to give guests another check-in option,” he said.
