MCLEAN, VA—Embassy Suites Hotels has opened its third property in Maryland, the Embassy Suites Baltimore-Downtown.
The property underwent an extensive renovation and was converted from a Tremont Suites Hotel. The hotel now features a more contemporary look, as well as standard Embassy Suites amenities such as complimentary hot, cooked-to-order breakfast, nightly Complimentary Evening Reception and guestrooms with a wet bar, microwave, mini-fridge and coffee maker.
Additionally, the property offers a fitness center, business center, and seasonal outdoor pool. An e-lounge has been added to the hotel, which features complimentary Wi-Fi, computer work stations, and a communal table setting.
The property includes the Grand Historic Venue, which has 45,000 sq. ft. of meeting and pre-function space with 19 banquet rooms across five floors. The venue is located adjacent to the Embassy Suites Baltimore-Downtown. The women’s bathroom and lounge features nine types of marble, large columns and light fixtures, and hand-carved woodwork.
The meeting space features 19 meeting rooms and three ballrooms. The Marble Room, located on the first floor, offers a ballroom space with original stain-glassed windows. The Roman Strada on the second floor draws inspiration from Egyptian tombs and features murals with Masonic themes. The Corinthian Room, which is also located on the second floor, combines chandeliers and gilded columns.
The Embassy Suites Baltimore-Downtown unveiled its new food and beverage outlet, the B’more Bistro and Lounge. The 4,000-sq.-ft., 200-seat restaurant offers cuisine from the Chesapeake Bay. A new onsite Starbucks will open in August 2013, as well.
