LEXINGTON, MA— Construction has commenced on a dual hotel campus here that will eventually contain an Element hotel and an Aloft hotel. Tocci Building Corp. is building the campus for Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide. According to Tocci, the 123-room Element will be the first property built for the new brand. The hotel will measure 78,000 square feet and rise four stories. The Aloft will contain 136 rooms, measure 66,000 square feet and rise four stories. The entire campus project will be complete in 2008. Costas, Kondylis and Partners designed the Element property. Fruchtman Associates Architects was the designer of the Aloft.
