Edward Thomas Collection Taps McIver, Olson In Promotions

SANTA MONICA, CA— The Edward Thomas Collection, an independent hotel owner and operator, has made executive appointments at two of its properties located here in Santa Monica, CA. Laura McIver has been named resident manager at Hotel Casa del Mar and Marce Olson has been appointed director of sales at Hotel del Casa and its sister property, Shutters on the Beach. Prior to her appointment, McIver was corporate director of food and beverage at both properties. She has also held senior positions in the food and beverage, banquet and catering departments of numerous hotel companies, including Kimpton, Marriott and Claremont. Olson previously served as sales manager at a number of hotels, including the Essex House Hotel Nikko and Le Parker Meridien Hotel, both of which are in New York. Most recently, she was a sales manager at the Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA.
