SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA—Hilton Worldwide will add a 237-room DoubleTree by Hilton in Cairns by fourth quarter, following the conversion of the Holiday Inn Cairns.
“After such a successful launch of our three DoubleTree by Hilton properties in the Northern Territory in 2013, we are extremely pleased to be further expanding DoubleTree by Hilton in the Australian market,” stated Ashley Spencer, VP/operations, Australasia.
DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns will join the Hilton Cairns hotel and cater to a broader range of potential guests offering them more accommodation options in Cairns.
Along with DoubleTree by Hilton’s three existing Australian properties in Darwin and Alice Springs, two new DoubleTree by Hilton Hotels in Western Australia are planned for Perth and Fremantle.
