BRISTOL, CT—DoubleTree by Hilton has opened a hotel in Bristol, CT, following a major renovation.
Formerly a Clarion hotel, the DoubleTree by Hilton Bristol, CT opens following a 13-month and more than $20-million renovation led by Parker-Torres Design LLC.
The property will continue to be directed by its management team, led by longtime general manager, Lynn Dell, and new director of sales, Mark Lombardi. The hotel is owned by Bristol Hotel, LLC and managed by Prestige Hospitality Group, LLC.
The new design scheme features custom artwork in the newly renovated lobby, and the hotel’s 141 guestrooms are enhanced by contemporary upgrades. A brand-new five-story, 19-suite tower offers a separate, private entrance for guests. Six suites feature California King beds, and an exclusive, high-tech, 2,000 sq.-ft. Presidential Suite offers a 64-in. HDTV; a dining table for eight with a full kitchen; a theater; and a guest bath equipped with a 60-in. TV-mirror, a whirlpool tub, an iPad-controlled energy management system and a $200,000 security system.
The hotel also offers The Willows restaurant and Time Out sports bar, two new dining venues with menus created by award-winning Executive Chef Leo C. Bushey, III. The hotel also features more than 7,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space, an indoor heated swimming pool, 24-hour fitness center, 24-hour business center and complimentary WiFi Internet access for all guests throughout the hotel.
