PITTSBURGH, PA—DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh-Cranberry is the first DoubleTree hotel in the Pittsburgh region to use the digital key technology for guestroom check-in. After downloading the Hilton HHonors app on a smart device, guests will be able to choose a room, check in and enter their guestroom, all from their phone, allowing them to skip the front desk entirely.
The digital key will also give guests entree to other areas of the hotel that a typical hotel key would be used for; this includes elevator, fitness center, side doors, business center and other areas requiring key card access. The digital key works once the guest’s room is available and the guest receives a phone notification to access their key through the Hilton HHonors app.
DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh-Cranberry is also currently going through a multimillion-dollar renovation. Most recently, the hotel’s conference center has been completed and now features two high-tech boardrooms and two meeting rooms. The renovations will include the hotel’s 189 guestrooms, 23,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space, restaurant and lounge, indoor/outdoor pool and fitness and business centers. The hotel is scheduled for completion this summer.
