LAFAYETTE, LA—DoubleTree by Hilton Lafayette, located near the city’s downtown area and less than three miles from Lafayette Regional Airport, has opened here. Formerly a Hilton hotel, the property has undergone a $12-million transformation that includes a total redesign of the lobby; updated guestrooms; new furniture throughout the public areas; renovated pool and sun deck; reconstructed porte-cochère; and revamped restaurant and bar concepts. The hotel is owned by Garrison Wright Prop Co. JV LLC and managed by Hospitality Management Advisors.

Set on the banks of the Vermillion River in a 15-story glass tower, DoubleTree by Hilton Lafayette debuts a color palette of white and neutral hues. The 327 guestrooms feature mahogany furniture, in-room safes and mini refrigerators, with many of them offering views of the river. In addition to the hotel’s upscale accommodations, the hotel offers complimentary amenities including a newly updated outdoor pool and sun deck; 24-hour fitness center; 24-hour business center; and complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel’s public areas and guestrooms.
Among its updates, the hotel also debuts its completely revamped food and beverage concepts. SoLA Restaurant and Lobby Bar is located on the lobby level and open for all-day dining. The hotel’s bar, 337, features a pool table, signature cocktails, local beers and small plates.

The hotel offers 22,000 sq. ft. of meeting space suitable for conferences and receptions of up to 1,200 people. Among the hotel’s 11 flexible event rooms are a 9,409-sq.-ft. Grand Ballroom—the largest hotel ballroom in the city, according to the property—and a 380-sq.-ft. room for more intimate meetings.
Other hotel amenities include an assortment of gourmet in-room tea and coffee choices from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and Aroma Actives natural skin and body care products.
