LONDON—The DoubleTree by Hilton London – Kensington has opened, becoming the 28th hotel for the brand in the U.K.
“Building on our current portfolio, this will be our third DoubleTree by Hilton in central London and our fourth in the U.K.,” said Aly Kassam, CEO of Crimson Hotels, which owns the property. “This unique opportunity to renovate and rebrand the hotel to the next level of indulgence is consistent with our focus on acquisition of hotels in prime locations.”
DoubleTree by Hilton London – Kensington is located near the Victoria & Albert Museum, Royal Albert Hall and Natural History Museum. The hotel is also within walking distance from Harrods department store, as well as upmarket shops and stalls at the nearby Portobello Market and Notting Hill area, according to Hilton Worldwide.
Retaining much of its original 1870s architecture, the hotel features 203 rooms including four suites. It also includes eight meeting rooms, the largest being the Cromwell Harrington Suite for up to 100 people in theater style, with high ceilings and natural daylight.
