NEW YORK— Doral Conference Centers, Hotels & Resorts, a division of MeriStar Hotels & Resorts announced the launch of a new multi-level property distribution system to make bookings faster and more convenient for travel agents, meeting planners and business and leisure travelers. The announcement was made at a special Doral Showcase held at the Doral Park Avenue Hotel here last week. “There currently are five Doral-branded properties, including the Doral Eaglewood Conference Resort & Spa in suburban Chicago, which is scheduled to reopen this fall following a $72 million renovation,” said Hoyt Bacon, MeriStar’s chief marketing officer. “The five properties allow us to support the most sophisticated booking systems. As we expand the Doral brand, those new properties will immediately be added to the system.” Travel agents now will be able to book Doral properties under the code “DL” through all of the GDS systems, including Sabre, Galileo, Worldspan and Amadeus. The company also announced a new toll-free phone number—1-866-33-DORAL—to be used by business and leisure travelers, as well as meeting planners. Specially trained reservation agents will be available around the clock to provide information and make bookings for meetings and convention facilities, individual rooms and special room packages, including spa and golf getaways.
