MONTVALE, NJ— Dolce International has made several changes to key positions throughout the company, appointing five new executives. Andy MacLellan, COO/president of European operations, will now oversee development and operations in Europe and will be based at the company’s Paris office. In addition to overseeing Dolce’s five European properties, he will provide strategic direction for the company’s growth throughout Europe. MacLellan has been with Dolce International since 1998 and prior to that held operations positions at Westin Hotels and Bass Hotels & Resorts. Steve Giblin joins Dolce’s headquarters team in New Jersey as president of the Americas. Prior to his appointment, he served as president/CEO of Newmarket International, the developers of a Windows-based sales automation system. In other experience, Giblin held key management positions with Marriott, Red Lion Hotels and Inns, and Omni Hotels. In his new capacity as president of the Americas, Giblin will oversee operations of all Dolce International properties in the United States and Canada as well as the expansion of new properties including upcoming additions in the western and southwestern U.S. Mark DePiero has been named senior vp/operations. DePiero has overseen European operations since 1999 and has been with Dolce International since 1985 in a variety of roles. Robin Steiner has been appointed corporate director of marketing for the Americas. A 19-year hospitality industry veteran, Steiner has held various senior level management positions with Summit International Hotels, Grand Bay Hotels and Resorts, L’Ermitage Hotels and Renaissance Hotels. Most recently she had her own marketing consulting company. James Mahon has been promoted to corporate director/public relations. A 20-year veteran of the conference center industry, Mahon has served with Dolce International for seven years as director/marketing services.
