WASHINGTON, D.C.— Daryl Dishman has been appointed director of sales at the Mandarin Oriental Washington, D.C. The new 400-room hotel is scheduled to open in the spring of 2004. Prior to his appointment, Dishman was the associate regional director of sales for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts’ worldwide sales office here. He also served with Helms Briscoe Performance Group and Stouffer Hotels and Resorts. Mandarin Oriental operates 18 hotels around the world with four additional hotels under development. Along with the new property in Washington, D.C., it is developing hotels in New York (opening late 2003); Hong Kong (opening 2005); and Tokyo (opening 2006).
