HOLLYWOOD, FL— The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa announced it has received the Associated Landscape Contractors of America’s Grand Award for the property’s “Preserved Installation” project. ALCA’s Annual Environmental Improvement Awards program recognizes businesses and organizations for quality contributions to improving the environment. The award to the Westin Diplomat recognizes the preservation and installation of the property’s 48 freeze-dried palm trees, which line the five-story atrium lobby. Rentokil Tropical Plant Services directed the project, which took several weeks to complete. The 1,060-room Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa is operated by Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
