DEARBORN, MI— As part of a series of festivities and events commemorating the hotel’s “re-birth,” The Ritz-Carlton Hotel here will unveil a day-and-a-half-long “Legendary Leadership Symposium” next month, open to attendance by members of the surrounding business community. With a spotlight focused on “the art of service,” the symposium— mounted under the aegis of Gerard van Grinsven, the hotel’s general manager— is slated to be followed up by monthly business roundtables similarly open to the area’s business leaders as well as its younger entrepreneurs. To be held Sept. 24 and 25 at the Detroit-area lodging property, the symposium is priced at $695, including breakfast and lunch. It was noted a percentage of the proceeds from this event would be donated to FOCUS: HOPE for the “Service Education Fund.”
