Denver’s Holtze Hotel Changes Name

DENVER— The Holtze Hotel downtown here will change its name to Magnolia Denver Hotel as part of its parents effort to establish a stronger national brand, according to a report in The Denver Post. Stevens Holtze Corp. operates the Holtze Hotel and the Magnolia Hotel in Dallas. The company is about to close on a Houston property, which it plans to renovate and open by summer 2002. It also plans to expand to other cities.

The change at Stevens Holtze follows an announcement last month by Loews Hotels that it had renamed its Loews Giorgio Hotel here to the Loews Denver Hotel. (4/19/01)
