Denver Tourism Increases In 2000

DENVER For the first time in five years, metro-area hotel occupancy increased here. Hotel occupancy in the area was up 8.5% in the last three months of 2000 and up a total of 6.2% for the year. Since 1995, the area s hotels have reported decreases in annual occupancy, mostly due to the increase in the number of hotel rooms. (2/22/01) SOURCE:Denver Post
