DENVER The Denver Post recently reported that Zachary Neumeyer has stepped back from his position as president and founder of Sage Hospitality Resources in order to focus his attention on a new venture capital firm, Sage Ventures. Neumeyer will remain chairman of Sage Hospitality s board of directors, while his 17-year partner in the company, Walter Isenberg, will move from the position of COO to president.
Sage Ventures, Neumeyer s new company, has about $1.5 billion in investment capital available and is looking for two types of investments: established companies with a proven product, or conceptual companies still on the drawing board. Sage Ventures, according to Neumeyer, won t limit itself to technology and telecommunications firms, and is willing to consider other ideas. (3/24/01)
