Début Hotel Group to Begin Franchising Night Hotels Brand

NEW YORK—Début Hotel Group, the collection of lifestyle brands launched by Hampshire Hotels Management earlier this year, will begin franchising the Night Hotels brand and offering franchise incentives through the end of this year.

As an incentive for developers and owners who believe in the future of Night Hotels, Début is offering 50% off the initial franchise fee as well as a 1.5% royalty fee and a 1.5% marketing fee for the first five years of the agreement. After the fifth year, the royalty fee increases to 2.5% and the marketing fee remains 1.5% for the life of the contract. The incentive is available only for agreements signed by Dec. 31, 2015.

“In re-imagining the Night Hotels brand, we set out to develop a thoughtful, flexible business model that addresses the modern owner’s and the modern guest’s needs,” said Eric Danziger, president and CEO of Hampshire Hotels Management and Début Hotel Group. “We are so pleased to offer hoteliers an opportunity to not only transform their properties so distinctly but also provide them with a founder’s incentive that stands out and is substantial.”

The Night Hotels brand features a convertible room product that transitions from day-to-night, where a single room can take on two distinct personalities from a communal living and entertaining space to a relaxing guestroom, according to the company.

An enhanced technology platform incentivizes guests to book online with complimentary WiFi upgrades, while a social “jukebox” provides curated playlists for each individual hotel location that guests can tune into.

The public areas at each hotel are communal spaces. Introducing the “maxi-bar,” Night Hotels’ lobbies will offer guests a range of grab and go items such as bottled juices, sodas, waters, movie-style concession stand snacks and other assorted items. There will also be an onsite Brew & Tap providing guests with coffee all day and beer and wine in the evening.
