ORLANDO— Daytona Beach hotels should rebound from the economic downturn by mid summer, more quickly than any other city in Florida, according to a report in The Orlando Sentinel. Orlando, on the other hand, will not recover until late this year, at the very earliest. The news, culled from the Ernst & Young LLPs 2002 Florida Lodging Forecast, said that Daytona Beach was least affected since only 15% of its visitors arrive by plane. Orlando, meanwhile, receives 30% of its visitors by air.
