MEMPHIS, TN— Privately owned Davidson Hotel Co. is reportedly buying the 408-room Adam’s Mark Hotel at 939 Ridge Lake in East Memphis here, a move that would ostensibly make the property the first for Davidson in this Tennessee city. Formerly known as the Omni Memphis, the 27-story hotel took on the Adam’s Mark name more than 10 years ago. It was pointed out an earlier deal had been in the works for the sale of the Memphis property— as well as for five other Adam’s Mark hotels— to Columbia Sussex Corp. of Fort Mitchell, KY, but it was said that deal fell through more than a year ago after the prospective buyer allegedly asked for more time to evaluate the hotels.
