Danfords Appoints Two Directors

PORT JEFFERSON, NY— HOTEL BUSINESS® has learned Stewart Weiner, general manager of Danfords on the Sound here, recently promoted two staff members to directors’ posts. Nicole Ferrer has been named director of sales and marketing and Bill Armstrong is now food and beverage director. Ferrer is now responsible for driving total hotel revenue and overseeing advertising, public relations, and all other marketing efforts for the 86-room property. Most recently, she served as Danfords’ catering manager. Ferrer’s previous posts included sales manager for Holiday Inn Ronkonkoma, NY; banquet manager at Tara Ferncroft Resort, Danvers, MA; and restaurant manager at Huntington Hilton Hotel, Melville, NY. Armstrong was promoted from assistant food and beverage director and now oversees the daily f&b operations, including supervising budgets, purchases and all restaurant and banquet staff. He previously served as restaurant, banquet and catering sales manager at the Wyndham Windwatch Hotel, Hauppauge, NY.— Stefani C. O’Connor
