WASHINGTON, D.C.— To capitalize on location, location, location, Starwood Hotels and Resorts has changed the name of its Westin Fairfax Hotel. The 206-room, located at 2100 Massachusetts Ave., NW, will now operate as The Westin Embassy Row. According to hotel manager Diane Holliday, the 1927 landmark building has been “home to diplomats, heads of state, as well as entertainers. With our new name in place, we are confident that many more visitors to our area will look to us for their accommodations.” The name change also helps clear up consumer confusion that the property was located in Fairfax, VA, according to the chain.
