MCLEAN, VA—Anselmo Buenos Aires has joined Curio – A Collection by Hilton.
Located in Buenos Aires’ historic neighborhood of San Telmo, Anselmo Buenos Aires is set amid Plaza Dorrego Square, one of the oldest public spaces in the city known for its cafés, bars, shops and antique stores.

With its first owner rumored to have been the famous tango musician and composer Anselmo Aieta, the property maintains its original 1900s facade complemented by a modern design that includes upscale restaurant and bar concepts. The hotel features contemporary decor and art infused with the area’s history and local flair. An interior plaza reflects local Argentine culture, according to the hotel. Additional highlights include communal gathering areas throughout the hotel and a fitness center offering state-of-the-art equipment, which will be available 24 hours a day.
The property offers 50 guestrooms, including four corner rooms, one with a balcony, a large suite featuring a private balcony and two colonial rooms offering a view of Dorrego Square, one of them with a French balcony facing the square. The design of each guestroom reflects the historical ambiance of San Telmo combined with sophisticated and modern elegance. Guestrooms include floor-to-ceiling windows, walk-in showers, sleek wooden floors, a minibar and views of the hotel’s inner plaza. The guestrooms also offer a sofa, a 42-in. HDTV, complimentary WiFi access and lighting that is distinct within each room.
The hotel offers two restaurants: Café Anselmo offers healthy regional dishes while Anselmo Lounge offers locally influenced signature cocktails, specialty snacks and desserts.
Anselmo Buenos Aires offers 3,300 sq. ft. of versatile meeting space for up to 100 guests.
