ATLANTA — The Crowne Plaza Ogden-Eccles Center (Salt Lake City) joined the upscale hotel portfolio of Six Continents Hotels following the transformation of the 1913 Eccles Building into a 137-room hotel. The hotel is the first Crowne Plaza in Utah, which opened just in time to host guests during the winter Olympics. It is also one of 10 Crowne Plaza hotels to open over the next six months. The striking property incorporates Art Deco elements into an eclectic design utilizing rich fabric, metal, granite and marble to complement the prominent framework of the Eccles Building; a floor to ceiling, double-sided fireplace in the lobby area will add a warm, welcoming ambience for both business and leisure travelers. Hotel features include a full-service restaurant and a private club. Guestroom amenities include: data ports, voice mail, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and ergonomic desk and chair. The Crowne Plaza Ogden-Eccles Center also offers a 24-hour reception desk, express checkout, fitness center, concierge, room service, valet parking, complimentary guestparking and a 24-hour self-service business center and meeting space. Same-day laundry service, a gift shop, and currency exchange are also available.
