Crowd Lighter This Year In LA

LOS ANGELES Attendance at this year s edition of the UCLA Hotel Industry Investment Conference here seemed to be a bit lighter than comparable crowds 12 months ago.

According to end-of-meeting reflections by UCLA Conference Chairman/Founder Jim Burba, vp/worldwide director advisory services for Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo, the total turnout for this year s 16th annual gathering would probably do well to reach 1,700 registered attendees; placing 2001 numbers slightly behind those of a year ago. Verified tallies will reportedly not be available for at least another week. (1/19/01)
