FAIRFAX, VA—Crestline Hotels & Resorts is set to manage a dual-branded hotel project at Columbia Place in Washington, DC. Slated to open in the third quarter of 2018, the mixed-use project will include a newly built 357-guestroom Courtyard hotel and a 147-suite Residence Inn hotel.
The planned hotels will be adjacent to the Washington D.C. Convention Center, sharing approximately 10,000 sq. ft. of meeting space consisting of multiple meetings rooms, a boardroom and three hospitality suites.
Additional joint hotel amenities will include a fitness facility and a full-service restaurant. Capstone Development and Quadrangle Development are the owners and developers of Columbia Place. The architect of record is Cooper Carry.
The Courtyard by Marriott will have 357 guestrooms and an independently operated full-service restaurant. Each guestroom will include a work desk, wireless internet, a flat-screen TV and deluxe bedding.
The Residence Inn by Marriott will have 147 residential-style studios, and one- and two-bedroom suites. The guest suite layout will provide separate zones where guests can relax, work, eat and sleep. In the suite, there will be a kitchen outfitted with a full-sized refrigerator and stainless-steel appliances. There will also be a sectional sofa, flat-screen TV and bathrooms with extra storage space.
Elsewhere, there will be a 4,000-sq.-ft. outdoor rooftop terrace. A complimentary hot breakfast is offered daily. Other amenities include local grocery delivery service, a 24-hour market and guest laundry room.
