PORTLAND, ME—Courtyard by Marriott Portland Downtown/Waterfront has opened here.
The six-story hotel features Courtyard’s most recent contemporary room design, which offers hybrid zones for work, sleep and relaxation. The room features indirect lighting and a neutral color palette. In place of traditional guestroom art, furniture and architectural elements have been added, such as the “LoungeAround” sofa, which adds a pop of color. In addition, rooms now feature a light desk on wheels that allows for a flexible and fluid workspace.
The hotel also features the Refreshing Business lobby, which has media pods, complimentary wireless Internet and seating zones. The Bistro—Eat. Drink. Connect. is also in the lobby, featuring healthy breakfast options and light fare in the evening.
Additionally, the property features an indoor swimming pool, 1,800 sq. ft. of meeting space, a fitness center, guest laundry and a new guest recycling program, with recycling receptacles located at the hotel’s side exits.
