NEW YORK— The Cornell Hotel School comes up big for the families of Windows On The World food-service workers who perished in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, contributing some $30,000 amassed via the institution’s Windows of Hope Family Relief Fund. The initiative comprised a portion of a day’s receipts donated by participating restaurants, as well as monies raised at a banquet held at the school’s Ithaca, NY campus. Coming together for the official “exchange of funds” are (left to right): Windows On The World restaurant executives Dennis Sweeney (Cornell Hotel School, Class of 1964), partner; Glenn Vogt, the demolished restaurant’s general manager; Michael LoMonaco, its executive chef; and Hotel School Dean David Butler.
