GEORGE TOWN, CAYMAN ISLANDS Consolidated Water Co. Ltd., which develops and operates seawater conversion plants and water distribution systems in areas where natural supplies of drinking water are scarce, signed a 10-year agreement to provide fresh water to the Bimini Sands Resort on South Bimini Island in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.

The agreement calls for Consolidated Water to begin supplying fresh water to the resort development as soon as all regulatory approvals are received. The water will be produced by a seawater conversion plant that is already owned by Consolidated and will be transported from Florida to South Bimini in the near future. (1/30/01)
