BALI, INDONESIA— Conrad Hotels will add another luxury property with the opening of the Conrad Bali Resort & Spa in Indonesia on March 8, 2004. The contemporary 313-room resort is located on the southern coast of the island of Bali, situated about 6 miles from the Ngurah Rai International Airport and next to the Nusa Dua resort area. Secluded, on acres of tropical gardens with lagoons and cascading waterfalls, the resort also offers a secluded stip of beach. Conrad Bali Resort & Spa was built as a low-rise, E-shaped structure, with three wings of guestrooms and suites connected to a primary public area. The unique design allows each guestroom to have an ocean view. The resort’s guestrooms and public areas, with their inviting ambiance, were designed by architects Wimberly, Allison, Tong & Goo from Hawaii. The interior, by Lim-Teo + Wilkies Design Works, Singapore, reflects a contemporary feel accentuated by warm tones and rich woods. Rooms are wired with the latest communications technology, broadband access and wireless internet in all areas of the hotel – including at the swimming pool. In line with Conrad’s meeting facilities worldwide, the Conrad Bali Resort & Spa features versatile conference and banqueting space including a ballroom with a separate entrance, accommodating up to 600 people. Other features at the resort inlcude a fitness center, spa, dining facilities and business center.
