BOULDER, CO— A large hotel project planned near the Omni Interlocken Resort in Broomfield, CO has been stalled due to concerns from the developer over the downturn in the local economy. The project, which could cost $40 million, is part of the Flatiron Marketplace and could include three hotels, totaling 400 guestrooms, located on 10.5 acres adjacent to the Omni. Carter Ewing, vp/ Koll Development Co., the developer of Flatiron Marketplace, said that he was having a difficult time securing financing. In addition to Ewing’s proposed developments, a 230-room Marriott Renaissance hotel is under construction in area. SOURCE: Daily Camera
