SALT LAKE CITY—The Ascend Hotel Collection from Choice Hotels International, Inc. has added The Peery Hotel here to its growing portfolio of distinctive hotels. Built in 1910, this 73-room property is a historic landmark located at 110 West Broadway, in the heart of downtown.
“The Peery Hotel is a truly special property that takes you back to the rich history of the region, while offering the modern luxuries expected of today’s discerning traveler. That is at the core of the Ascend Hotel Collection,” said Janis Cannon, SVP of upscale brands for Choice Hotels. “This historic hotel’s architecture is rooted in the early prairie and classical revival style, strengthening the Ascend Hotel Collection’s diverse portfolio of distinctive independent hotels and resorts that guests seek out for a truly immersive experience.”
The Peery Hotel, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, underwent an extensive restoration and renovations to reflect the local history through its design and art.
