VANCOUVER, BC— CHIP Hospitality is bringing the Howard Johnson flag to two Saskatchewan, Canada properties as part of its ongoing strategy to add value to its properties. The 156-room Imperial 400 Motel Regina and the 158-room Imperial 400 Motel Saskatoon will become the province’s first Howard Johnson Inns. The changeover will be completed this month, with CHIP Hospitality investing $1 million in upgrades at the two properties. Major improvements, including home-office rooms with work desks, modem phones and other amenities for business travelers, will bring all rooms up to Howard Johnson standards. Repositioning these properties will help increase CHIP’s awareness and image in Saskatchewan said company officials. CHIP Hospitality is a Canadian hotel management company focused on midmarket to upscale, full-service and extended-stay hotels.
