NEW YORK— Cendant Corp. has agreed to acquire Danish vacation home renter Novasol AS, in a move that will break Cendant into the Northern European market and modestly add to its earnings per share. In a statement, Cendant reported the deal would modestly add to its earnings per share and would bring 17,000 cottages in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany and Eastern Europe into its portfolio of properties. Novasol specializes in the marketing of privately owned holiday properties for rent, under the Novasol and Dansommer brand names. Financial terms of the transaction werent disclosed. Cendant has also recently acquired U.K.-based Holiday Cottages Group and Italy-based Cuendet. SOURCE: Reuters
