PARSIPPANY, NJ— Cendant Corp., owner/operator of eight lodging brands including Howard Johnson and Days Inns, said today that DreamWorks SKG executive Ronald Nelson will join its board of directors immediately and become its chief financial officer on May 12. Nelson will replace Kevin Sheehan as Cendants CFO. Sheehan will focus on his role as chairman and chief executive of Cendants vehicle services division, which includes its Avis and Budget car rental operations. Nelson has been the chief operating officer at privately held film company DreamWorks SKG since it was founded in 1994, and was earlier the chief financial officer at Paramount Communications Inc.
